this exam seemed “wordier” than the two exams in my CB book… I left 6 blank I think? Can I still get at least a 700?

Around 780…^

Can someone explain the counter-example (15) question? Maybe I misunderstood it because I dont get it at all!

15 + 2 = 17
17 is prime.

15 - 2 = 13
13 is prime.

So 15 does satisfy both conditions, but 15 itself is not prime.

23

10char

5 juniors pick 2
8 seniors pick 3

Comibnations: 560? 56 x 10?

Edit: nvm.

thats what i put too. 5C2 x 8C3… Ugh i hate combination questions…

counter example question was on the math2 blue book by collegeboard… It meant like the oppostie of the thesis given. The question supposed that n would be prime. So i tried to find the ones that are not prime. There were 15 and 25. So I knew i messed up something… can someone help me from there?

The counter-example was crap. None of them were counter-examples…

which was the exp digression questions

I omitted none, so how many do I need right(or wrong) to get a 700 at least?

I left 4 blank… the last 4, ran out of time… i srsly thought it would be harder though, compared to the practice tests… what’s everyone’s current math level though? (2008-09)

for the room painting one, do you take some off for the door? ■■■■■… I just thought of that [I’m jk btw]

I spent a lot on the counterexample one… I put (A) but I forgot what number it was…

Oh! it was 15… so 15-2= 13 and 15+2= 17

13 and 17 are both prime so that satisfies the IF part of the question, so to speak… but since 15 is composite (15x3), that refutes the assumption that 15 MUST be prime =)

^^^^^ Thats not how they explained a counter example in the blue book… I studied for this test for a long time. Now I get to study over summer to get a higher score… Fun…

which blue book do you have?? mine doesn’t explain it

^^^^ The 2009 Blue Book. It’s in the second test I believe somewhere.

so lame
no 800 now
retake time

oh you prob. have the one just for Math… I have the one for all of them…

And kzhi2u you don’t NEED an 800 lol; it’s really annoying sometimes how people will retake a test entirely for a couple of points…

This one’s definitely not as popular as USH lol

for the question about sinx = .3 (in the domain of pi/2 < x < pi) I got -.9745 or something for cosx.
