June 2009 - Mathematics Level 2

15 is the correct answer

It was definitely 15.
Does anyone remember the QUESTION to the geometric sequence one? Not the complex one the one with an 18 or something in it. I think i did it right but i wanna see the numbers i might have made a careless mistake. Same for the one with the ceiling and walls. I subtracted the floor but i think i MIGHT have made a careless error. What were the numbers?
If i didnt get these two wrong i think i got -0
BUT i usually make a lot of careless mistakes, so im scared (turned to a random page when i finished 5 minutes early and found a careless mistake!)

“doees anyone remember the QUESTION to the geometric sequence one?”
yea what is this?
is it -6?

25 isn’t prime so it doesn’t conform to the premise… look at it this way, if you prove that the conclusion is true (e.g. for significa, 23 is prime) but that the premises are false (25 is not prime), then you really haven’t gone anywhere because you haven’t “followed the rules” so to speak. If you don’t abide by the first portion, the second portion is really void b/c you’re not bound by the assumption in the first place

cool guy, actually it is…

4^2=16
2^4=16 :)

okay - but were the answer choices indianjatt posted were correct?

cuz then i probably put e too

The other geometric sequence on is -6. The third term is 18 and the common ratio is -3. We were asked to find the second term. 18/-3=-6.

I just remember that E had all of them

^^^^ k good :)

Yeah it was E ^

Reflecting I’m not sure this test was all that hard, but stupid mistakes killed me. Hopefully there is giant curve, but I really don’t think there is going to be.

lets pray 43/50 is 800 or even better 42/50!

btw what’s the Organization of american States?

^I agree rickymatsui.

Hey guys besides the blue book tests for math, has the collegeboard ever released actual curves for other years?

sorry lol - wrong thread

Ugh looks like I read it wrong then. 4 omit, 2-3 wrong atm. Any hope for a 800 still?

^^ @zam loli was like HUH??
yea does any1 know any released collegeboard curves?

**** i think i might have put 2 because i thought they asked for first term. Oh well, thats -1 so far. Does anyone remember the dimensions of the room of the painter?

I think I would need 41/50 :frowning:

I could always retake, but I don’t need if I want to study so I can retain what I know… Ricky, are you retaking if you don’t get a 800?

haha i think so :frowning: i reallly really hope i still have an 800. im praying for a generous curve!
it really depends on if its 790 or not
i got an 800 on sat1 math so i really want an 800 on sat2 math
i honestly feel if this test was like practice tests, mor epeople wud be confident abt gettign an 800

It sucks when you get a 790 and think “i was one point away from that 800”

Of course based on comparison of my answers on this site, its prob going to happen.
