Wait - so you take the APUSH test twice? I’m not really sure what to make of your classes, but you probably shouldn’t be posting them here.

NO forget it…yes tomorrow…actually only 10 hours and 2 minutes lol we’ve been waiting two weeks and now only 10 hours left!!!

ARe you guys goonna stay up all night until you get your score at 8 in the mornin?..

nah…im gonna wake up around 5… check…go back to sleep…check at 6…go back to sleep…wake up offically at 8:30…check…go to work

After talking it over here I’m pretty confident about my score range (740-770) - so I’ll probably get up around 9 and check my score - however if I hadn’t made all the stupid mistakes and was still expecting a 800 I would probably get up at like 5 =D

My son got a 730 Mathematices level 2 - just posted. Any idea what percentile that puts him in?

Got an 800 on Chem SAT2, 2250 Best SAT scores, 32 ACT w/ writing and 96 weighted average.

Are all these on par with each other?

I got a 660- Im probably totally screwed for my top choices now.

I got a 710…I know it was the worst of the ones I did that day but that score is not absolutely horrible so I’m fine with it.

i posted this on the other thread but… i got a 740 and im pretty disappointed. where will that get me in? should i retake if im only a junior in the fall?

@ minniemouse23424 - If you’re a junior in the fall, I’d say shoot for that 800. Don’t take it more than 2 times though…because then that’s just a waste of money.

I got a 720 =( is that really bad?

That’s a relief, I thought I bombed it…

^gimme some verbosely…good job…

I GOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTA 80000000000000000000!!!11
800.

wohooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
noW I CAN GET THAT NEW BIKE

DonnaMom a 730 puts your son in the 72 percentile in the 2008 table (the 2009 doesn’t exist as far as I can tell). My son scored a 700 and he’s in the 63 percentile. The mean score was 644 and the standard deviation was 107, so they are both are within an SD of the mean, but higher. On an older percentile chart I found a 700 was greater than a standard deviation (higher) than the mean, so I guess it does vary some from year to year.

I really don’t know how to interpret this. Since it’s predominantly the kids interested in the highly competitive schools who take the tests, does it strengthen an application to even be above the mean? Is it a very strong positive to be an SD above? In my son’s case, he’s not applying to any schools that require the tests (except a couple UC’s) and I was having him take them in hopes that his math score, in particular, would be high enough to temper the poor grades he’s gotten in his math classes. I’m not sure if a 700 accomplishes this, or if it’s stronger than the 28 ACT math subscore he also has. I invite speculation.

i know the curve is harsh, so where does that put at an 800?
Im not bragging or anything here, so dont jump to conclusions.

(BTW, may i mention that im only a sophmore…what kind of bike do you reccommend so i can get the best deal?)

800!!! hahaha omg… i’m so HAPPY! And not to brag or anything, but I kind of knew it was up there somewhere b/c the CB’s blue study guide has the chart and it’s really accurate… (I assumed the ones I answered quickly were right and I only omitted the last 4 which I didn’t get to…) Is the curve harsh on the Math II? I thought it was lenient…

btw could the Math II score mitigate the Math subscore in the Reasoning test somehow?

UMMM noooooooo…zam no .
lloolll…yay!!! we both got 800’s. WE deserve a pat on the back (more like a massage on the back lol)…WOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!

740…
75th percentile…ugh that just makes me feel even worse about it x_x I know its a pretty self-selective group, but…probably going to retake in the fall. Just one to retake though

fresh
you really do deserve that 800 after all of your spazzing
get a vintage-y beach bike, they are super cute
