June 2009 SAT Critical Reading

rtgrove: I think I put acknowledge something, but I guessed on that question

I put historical force because D which was debate, I don’t think you can really debate something in one sentence, and then he didn’t really introduce a new hypothesis because it was basically the second to last sentence of his essay.

Strosfan-

Well, I hope your right. Figures crossed for a 750+ on CR = D.

also is it that she knows AListar and she acknowledges he has influenced her?>

it better be philosophical fate instead of science…also the CAPITAL letters better be humor and not contradicting statements.

1232cricket:
question accuracy
humor
unknown shaping of emotions
i thought it was philosophically inclined b/c it said that the wife was less likely to believe in fate than alister. scientific seemed like a trick answer to me…

Does anyone remember what the acknowledge something is for the question that rtgrove is talking about?

yea, i put debate an issue.

I put debate even though I really just wanted to put “acknowledge another side” which made the most sense but wasn’t an answer.

I agree with awkturtle (love your username btw).

Ok, last question from me (probably) what did you guys get for the sentence completion question about the reporter warning about the germans

I though it was history, or something for the marketplace one.

And does anyone remember the other choices for the impassioned question.

When the lady was like “I know what I know”, that means that she was shaped by Alister right?

the subconcious one was about eating nutrients?

Direct quotations used alot?

other choices for impassioned (the only one that made kinda sense) was endearing.

What were the choices for german one?

I put direct quotations used a lot. … Which they did. Hahah.

YES!

Aspiring-

Idk though because he was stating something that he thought was consistent throughout history…plus idk how you can use one sentence to debate anything…

lol thank god on the eating nutrients part, kind of an odd choice in context

haha thanks awkward turtles rock. :P

i don’t remember that sentence completion…do you remember anything else about it.

i think another choice for impassioned was some word that started with a p.

does anyone else remember putting prosaic for some answer?

i’m certain there was an answer choice that was acknowledge another side

and i did get prosaic

i didnt put prosaic, it was the whale one it was awesome…fluid.

was direct quotations used alot in the alst 2 sentences?

there was a question in the lady with teh RV one…

something about AListar and I know what I know, is she acknoledingg alastar shaped her life?>

what was the paradox in the last paragraph of something

Smarts-

I dont think I ever used prosaic
