^ This is correct.

Shoot. Well there go all my hopes of finding out how many questions I got wrong (I scored 800, but I think I got at least one question wrong).

Got an 800 with Barrons.

800! Relieved.

Oh and that was with low 700/high 600 scores on the Barron’s tests.

wow… i only got 500s with barrons. they were SOO much harder

Sigh I was on vacation and checked my scores to see a 730… idk if I should retake If I got an 800 on the regular SAT Math would that kind of balance out this crappy score?

For referencing purposes – I got low-mid 700s on the Barron’s tests and a 760 on the actual test. I’m happy with my score considering I ran out of time and consequently skipped 4 questions and rushed another 2-3.

I’m curious about the curve… can anyone who got a 790 post how many they got wrong/omitted? (I got an 800 with at least 4 wrong)

i got a 790 with 4wrong, 3blank

89th percentile for 800. =/

Does getting 800 on this test mean much?

Depends on your goal in taking this test. For bragging rights, 89th percentile means diddlysquat. For admissions, it’s actually pretty important (the perfect score, not the percentile).

Hey guys, looks like the June 2012 math test was the same as the one today. Do you guys know what the raw score was for an 800? 42, 43, or 44?

person posted 3 blank 4 wrong was 790 so i’m gonna guess 43 was the cutoff

3 blank 4 wrong is -8 raw, so 42.

Could someone explain how to do the domain question?

Domain was only 1 and 2. It said it was a function, so the range couldn’t have been 1, 2, and 3 b/c that would mean that if you plug in 1 x-value, you get 2 y-values. That means if x=2, then it’ll hit the function at 2 y-values, so it doesn’t pass the vertical line test.

He got a raw of 42, but a 790. That means 43 is the cutoff, right? Cutoff is the min score you can get to still get an 800?

I got this too and am 99.9% sure that this the correct way to do it. This was QUESTION 50. Its not gonna be pulling 987 outta ur ass. It’s multistep. Just because it mentioned ERROR, you should know that it isn’t from center ( the new laser being pointed, NOT THE ORIGINAL)

Yep, I think 987 was the right answer for #50. IIRC, it was just (tan0.05)(225)(5280)-50
