Could shock followed by resentment work? I mean, he changed the name so fast, which was shocking to her, and then she became angry with him because it was unfair to her for him to change the name. Definition of resentment that I’m using—bitter indignation at having been treated unfairly.
yeah that does make sense but i’m not sure that either of those emotions were definitively displayed in the passage- she simply doesn’t speak to him about it
