***JUNE 2015 ACT DISCUSSION THREAD***

@Bballkim it’s the thread that you created

Took the ACT in March and got 34/31/32/35 33C and 10 Writing. Thought this score may not stack up well at schools like U Penn and University of Michigan, so decided to take again. Did well, but math killed me. Expecting 36/28/35/35. Was really hoping for a 35, but that’s not happening

32 and above is fine for any school, I wouldn’t sweat it @john7807 Hollistic admissions are the new thing now. Plenty of people with lower test scores get in, but I’m not saying a high test score will hurt your chances either.

@shemp903 yeah, thankfully I went from a 28 to a 33. I was just hoping for higher. I felt like this math section was much harder than the other two I’ve taken.

If u have a 32 or 33 composite but a 28 math is it worth retaking the test?

This ACT seemed harder than any of the past ACTs that I have taken.

For those that took the April ACT, which did you feel was tougher? By section or in general.

@cooldude1098 if you’re applying to a math heavy college like MIT or CalTech then it is.

The math was harder in the April test. I had to guess on 10 questions. But I only guessed on 3 this time.

@CheckMate123 im applying to schools like tufts, georgetown, ucla, ucb and mayb rea to stanford which would be a super reach

@cooldude1098 Oh…then a 33 composite should be totally fine for those schools. Don’t bother retaking.

should I keep all the schools that I’m planning to send my scores to or should I wait to see what I got first? Will I have a chance after to send them?

I think mine had completely different choices. What form did you get and do you live on the west or east coast

Are they throwing any questions out?

no it wasn’t…

if people said this test was hard you definetly did not take the April. this was awesome compared to the april test

I felt the April ACT was easier honestly.

Hopefully the ambiguity in those few questions gives a better curve.

Yea definitely. Math curve is going to be generous.

I feel like I did pretty well on math, so a generous curve will be like icing on the cake.
