I hope I’m at least waitlisted, because it would be a horrible way to end things if the last college I hear from happens to be my first rejection (does that make any sense??). And now that I’ve typed this out, I probably just jinxed myself.

I got the call while I was taking a short nap. My mom passed me the phone, saying “it’s from ---- college!” (I didn’t quite catch the name)…so I mumbled about random things (and trying to express my astonishment and thanks, but there’s a limit to how much of your emotions you can process while you’re half asleep), then went back to sleep. How embarrassing! Hope they won’t decide to call it off. :)

Well, I’m currently on vacation in Florida so I have absolutely no idea if they called or not. Are you sure they’re supposed to start emailing the day after?
nervous

That should answer it ;)

Congrats to all. Haven’t heard anything yet. Says to self “Practice breathing”.

^ I am saying it (:

I got a call during American Idol last night, haha. The person was very nice and answered all my questions.

Do not panic! As I remember last year, some accepted students got a call, but some did not. I seem to remember my son didn’t get a call and was freaking, but WAS accepted.

No panicking! Think happy thoughts!

No email yet…

I just got an email. “About your application to Reed College: we liked it.” Succinct!

YES! It was awesome! And the video!!!

that video was amazing. Leave it up to reed to come up with such an original, funny way to deliver acceptances! And its funny, because I recognized 3 of the people reading haikus as people I met when I stayed overnight!! Pretty cool stuff. Congrats to everyone who gets in.

I have a good friend at Reed… didn’t see him in the video. But yes, it was amazing. “By coming to Reed, you’ll ensure that we have a class of freshmen.”

Congratulations to all who just got accepted to Reed! My son just got his email, too. We watched the video. How perfectly Reed-y! I just wish it weren’t quite so far away.

Adaman, I recognize you from the Kenyon list. My son also got in there – Honors Scholar, $12,000 per year. I have a feeling the two of you must have a few things in common. I’m curious, where else did you apply? Where else did you get in? What is your first choice? I don’t even know if it’s O.K. to ask those questions here (my first post), but I’m curious to know how others reason through the decision-making process. It’s just so different from my day.

Thanks.

I got in! YaaaaY!!! I totally thought it was a rejection when I saw it in my inbox. ohhh man, I nearly had a heart attack and began screaming and cursing very loudly

…rejected…

Aww, onlawliet! I know you were really hoping. Have you gotten other acceptances?

haha, nope…just one waitlist, that can be an acceptance if i try hard enough.

im still waiting on a few other schools though, so we’ll see.

Are the Reed Rejections and Wait List info being sent by email?

Treeman: yep. I got my rejection by e-mail. :
