Just finished AP US Test... How do you feel?

take number right on mc minus number wrong times .25 and then multiply that number by 1.125 to get your raw score, then multiply your DBQ out of 9 by 4.5 and each of your essays out of 9 by 2.75 add all those three up

for 2001, the cutoff for 5 was 114, for 4 was 92, and for 3 was like 70 something

by the way, spoofy, i’d say you probably got a 4

I would liek to thank the 76 page review for prepping me in this exam.

I hope for at least a 4.

13.5 pages? hope you didnt provide alot of irrelevant information!

Ha, I thought the test was relatively easy–I think I scored extremely well. I only left one question blank on the multiple choice. My DBQ was four pages, and my other essays were 2.5-3; so rudimentary. I hope that the SAT II tommorrow is going to be a push over. Knock on wood…

The DBQ was boring as HELL… I was prediciting a time period much different then they gave us as well, but overall I did well on it.

First free response I chose the 2nd one, and could not remember all of the info, but I got a solid 2 page essay out of it.

Second free response I also chose the 2nd one, this one was 3 pages and just filled w/ specifics and good examples. I thank my APUS teacher for spending so much time on this period, I nailed it.

Multiple Choice I don’t even want to talk about, so much on there I didn’t have a clue on. I skipped about 15 and probably got about 15 wrong, but I’m hoping my essays will save me and give me a 4 on the test.

wait, the dbq is out of 15?
or is it out of 9?
i’ve heard both, so by now, i’m just confused. or maybe i’m still drained from that exam. haha.

spoofy sounds like more of a 3 to me…thats just my intuition though, because i feel the same as him about frq and mc but on dbq i think i got 7-9, and i still feel like i got a 3.

wow IvyLeague, you are soooooooooooooo smart! “thought the test was a joke”, damn! i guess you are just too advanced for the rest of us. i love and respect you for your raw, fierce intelligence, IvyLeague.

repeating my questions for the third time now:

"i didnt put a conclusion on my DBQ, because by the time i finished my last body paragraph the proctor said u shud be moving on to frq question…is it still possible to get max points for a dbq without a conclusion? my dbq was really really good, and it would suck to lose points just becuz i didnt write a 2 sentence conclusion.

AND, i didnt have any conclusion sentences…like how ur supposed to hav a topic sentence at the beginning of every paragraph to relate the paragraph to the thesis, i did that, but i didnt put any conclusion sentences at the end of the body paragraphs…is that all right? :-/"

i think it was pretty easy.

my teacher said you won’t lose any points for not having a conclusion, but it can only help you if you include one

DO NOT get specific about the essay topics ohnoes!

My impression of the AP US history exam: prolonged sodomy. Eh… it was kinda expected given that, I had long since sacrificed the US history exam up on the altar of AP chem.

hahahahah uhhh ohhhhh!!! COLLEGEBOARD IS GONNA COME AND GITCHA!!

THE TERROR ALERT IS AT RED, OHNOES!!! DUCT TAPE UR WINDOWS!! THEYRE COMIN!

Really? I thought the DBQ was mediocre and the 2nd choice on B and C was very easy. I was expecting the worst on part C but was overcome with relief when I saw the topics, which were both doable.

Me: Definite 4, possible 5.

tamirms–prolonged sodomy?? wait, u thought it was HARD??? im with IvyLeagueORbust and amnesia, I thought it was:

EEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

it was sooooo SIMPLE! anyone could do it, honestly.

i got a 6

Obviously I providded lots of irrelevant information in my essays:

I basically said what happened in history (facts) then just said some thing to tie it to my thesis and said that that proves my thesis

i thought it was easy. especially the MC.

h4zin- I don’t think that the AP us history exam is hard (it isn’t a cerebral leap to be able to blindly memorize mass amounts of information, not much high level critical thinking there), however, I was so disinterested in the class that I didnt do any of the ids or essays. But even though, I dont think I got lower then a 3.

PAIN. I gave up on my last FRQ’s conclusion because it honestly hurt too much to keep writing.

izzy, you’re not the only one. Our entire class started giggling and whispering “yes!” when we saw the DBQ because our teacher is a nut about that subject. I loved the DBQ. The first FRQ was awesome, second one… not so much.

I also wrote about 13 pages. I’ll be disappointed with a 3 and somewhat surprised by a 5. Solid 4, though.

do you think they will grade essays done in pencil?

MC was extremely easy, DBQ- Easy set two frq- medium. I wrote on #3. Got pawned on second set of frq. chose #4. Hoping for at least a 4.
