Just for fun -- Haiku!

Oh indeed pack-mom
a sad true correlation
stresses lead to pudge.

Tell me about pudge!
My particular poison:
ice cream with hot fudge! :p

Or anything sweet
and chocolate-y in a pinch…
I’m not too picky. :o

What a cute word,pudge
Surely the stress is it’s cause
Can’t be the Breyers.

I look and wonder,
Where have all the haikus gone?
Not so many now?

Hey Mrs Weasley,
bet there will be lots more soon…
weekend approaches!

Gaels versus the Zags
Just six seconds remain now
Inbound now and score

Bad guys have it now
Freaking A Zags at the line
They hang on to win.

Oh Mrs Weasley
I feel ya my CC sis
Where are the poets

hey Historymom
I did compose an e-mail
think it did not send

You and D and mine
Happy faces we will see
hope to say hello

Salem will be wet
not too cold and no snow piles
smiling faced admits

We are three family
One tall and skinny, one short
S somewhere in between

OR 101
You’ll see us. D’s long straight hair
is light brown, eyes blue

Expect little fuss
in clothes, hair, makeup, or style
I spend more time though

D eschews fashion
norm is jeans and team sweatshirt
sometimes a hoody

I’m in jeans though too
but age requires more effort
hair dyed auburn brown

She is thin, average
in heght. slight athletic build
I used to be…sigh

What will your H think?
I’m crazy CC lady.
probably a man.

HS:

Amused family
CC friends often quoted
You will make it real

S Korean born
4 months old he did arrive

Shiny bushy hair
Skateboarding clothes so stylish
Teeth smile when happy

Gratitude they feel
Crazy talk and anxiety
Diverted to CC!

GAH rotator cuff
repetitive motion pain
keeping D on bench.

Can anybody
weigh in with stories of fast
recovery time?

Son and many friends…
amazing chiropractor…
recovered fast, well.

Son, only back strain.
Friends, some football injuries
but no broken bones.

Feather-light touches,
maybe three or four visits,
avoid surgery.

HarrietMWelsch,
See if you can find one who
does DNFT.

(Hate chiropractors,
had lousy ones as a kid,
but this is different.

Some say quackery,
but our Van Rumpt protege
has helped us a lot.)

S-A-T test and
A-C-T test and APs
And S-A-T II

Essays and ECs,
H-Y-P-S, L-A-C,
U-C, N-Y-U

An alphabet soup
Designed to make one hungry
Finally sated.

The alphabet soup
can yield misunderstandings
in young bystanders.

Of viagra ads -
S2 to S1: “Hey! he
has ED like you!”

Mrs W & HW–

Humorous indeed!!!
Woke me up from poor night sleep
No day looks better

Found fingers tapping
Syllables 5 and 7
Tapping on the bed

Past was colleges
Invaded dreams obssession
Is much improvement!!

Just got the letter…
please pardon my tiny gloat:
He made Finalist! :)

High school, still no word.
They must have known it last week.
What gives, counselor?

ED, too funny!
Applications did feel like
something dysfunctional. :D

first college visit
with second child - ugh, it starts
all over again

winter in boston
time to visit colleges
i hope she won’t like

save my fav’rite schools
for warmer April weather
Mom is devious.

D wants to visit
college in the big city
iffy neighborhood

overprotective mom
wants D in small suburb school
boring but safer

geekmom can gloat here
where it is safe and where we
all truly “get it.”

Hooray for geek kid.
Hooray for all the seniors
who have worked so hard.

Congratulations,
Geek-mom/Geek_son! That’s great news.
High school almost done,

So the counselor
who forgot about Geek_son
is soon forgotten.

(I wanted to work
another dysfunctional
joke in there but failed.)

High school counselor
is a wonderful person, but
some things don’t make sense.

Thanks, mafool, Weasley.
So many CC kiddos
impress me to death.

Senior year is hard!
More than when I was in school.
Worth celebrating!

My mom’s recipe
for the moistest chocolate cake
starts with a box mix.

She shared it with me,
And Duncan Hines is on sale.
Now I’m dangerous!
