Just for fun -- Haiku!

<p>Oh you braggy mom
You’re giving me a headache
Yeah, you’re kid is great</p>

<p>I am so tired
Of having you brag about
Honors and AP!</p>

<p>Yeah, yeah, yeah … he’s great
He’s so Smart and popular
But here’s a secret</p>

<p>Everyone else thinks
Your kid is just a mean jerk
Here’s a tip for you:</p>

<p>Next time you have one
Try to teach them some manners
That’s more important!!!</p>

<p>Haiku is easy
Sometimes hard to understand
Refrigerator.</p>

<p>So worldly and poised . . .
Might they look like the MILKMAN ?!!!
Nah . . . we bought store milk.</p>

<p>LOL RT! Here is my snarky one.</p>

<p>You were my kids’ friend
Their best one until 6th grade
Then you blew them off</p>

<p>Guess they were not cool
And you were Regina George
Sad, you lost yourself</p>

<p>Popularity
Was your quest years nine and ten
Ooops where are your grades?</p>

<p>Now my “uncool” girls
have oodles of great choices
But you, not so much</p>

<p>LACs and States
It’s a Cafeteria
Options are so cool</p>

<p>I really like you
and have gotton over it
Choices have results</p>

<p>Calculus no Way!
How can this be my baby?
Math is not my friend</p>

<p>Sweet child, I love you
You are everything to us
You are our whole life</p>

<p>But I sometimes feel
That I will just lose my mind
Turn off that X-BOX!!!</p>

<p>LOL historymom!
here is mine</p>

<p>Calculus killed me.
Nonlinear algebra?
What the h**l is that?</p>

<p>Mom, I’m really sick!
Achy head, manvoice, sore throat . . .
Whoops! Late for practice -</p>

<p>mafool, you’re killing me here. And so are the rest of you.</p>

<p>Sweet son has found love.
All is new and real and good.
I know it may hurt.</p>

<p>mafool:</p>

<p>S believes she’s it
He cannot see what we see
nice but we hope not</p>

<p>celebrates every month
college choices counted her
she’s still a Junior</p>

<p>Next year stay at school
Do not count on love lasting
make friends and move on</p>

<p>S would be upset
If parents gave this advice
We leave him alone</p>

<p>Still we know much more
Tis difficult not to share
Let yourself mature</p>

<p>This is so much fun
I cannot stop my thinking
CC forum’s great</p>

<p>Like sudoku yes
should help the brain cells live on
even one’s the kids got</p>

<p>Which is worse: that I
Don’t like son’s GF? Or that
H thinks that’s funny?</p>

<p>He’s making cookies
for her Valentine’s present.
I want to salt them.</p>

<p>oregon-</p>

<p>Son made the hard choice-
Went far far away to school,
Left girlfriend at home.</p>

<p>Girlfriend got married
to another last summer.
It was not to be.</p>

<p>Now three years later,
Love enters his life again.
It is new and sweet.</p>

<p>Salt the cookies yes
Will not help him see
good story to tell</p>

<p>mafool good deal that
your S did great moving on
much hope for success!</p>

<p>Four hours of coding…
independent study is
tough, but rewarding.</p>

<p>I’m not much help since
Java’s sort of Greek to me.
(I’m a dinosaur.)</p>

<p>Back to chapter four…
study every example…
now he understands.</p>

<p>Bright spinning circles.
Click the mouse to make them stop –
click, they start again.</p>

<p>Computer science,
you were my son’s nemesis
but tonight, he wins!</p>

<p>gadad – milkman?
Give yourself some credit here!
Yours, and raised 'em right.</p>

<p>But in geek_son’s case,
He got all the brains from “dad”…
I still have all mine. :p</p>

<p>@ADad:
Nonsensical lines?
“Refrigerator magnet!”
Right back atcha, dude. :D</p>

<p>Mine’s not a player,
planned on staying unattached
at least till college.</p>

<p>One very close friend
made him reconsider, though –
but it wouldn’t work.</p>

<p>So much in common,
I understand her appeal,
but she’s just too young.</p>

<p>She’s so mature, but
more like a little sister –
not the one for him.</p>

<p>In a school so small,
hard to even find a date
to take to the prom.</p>

<p>Most just go as friends,
and that’s what he will do too,
with another girl.</p>

<p>He doesn’t know yet
all the possibilities
somewhat south of Mudd. :)</p>

<p>I know when he goes
he’ll meet many girls like him,
smart, sweet… and his age.</p>

<p>Maybe then I’ll be
like oregon101
or Harriet Welsch…</p>

<p>Salt all their cookies?
I want him to be happy,
but who’s good enough?</p>

<p>Age 18 is young
Having his heart so involved
She is nice enough</p>

<p>They are together
by constant text messaging
Ah technology</p>

<p>Little family time
They want to be together
Weren’t we just the same?</p>

<p>I know this will pass
Most likely within the year
Hope he falls OK</p>

<p>If salt would hasten
Give me a peck and bushel
Pepper too Mom Love</p>
