I have many friends in my class at West Point who didn’t get in their first time. As someone mentioned before, your best chance is to try again next year. It honestly doesn’t matter what school you go to, whether it’s a military school like the citadel or a regular civilian school, but if you can get involved in an army ROTC program, than that’s great. While you’re in college, try to get good grades and stay involved. Keep playing your sport and West Point will actually consider your application as slightly higher than those applying straight out of high school.
Don’t be disappointed!! I’ve found that many of the best cadets are ones who went through a year of college or other prep program before coming here. Good luck
