<p>I agree with jsmithers. This is a terrible tragedy and I do think that NDSP should have put a report in much more quickly. However, to say that someone should be kicked off the football team for something they allegedly did is not right (especially since the evidence seems a bit thin right now). A lot of people are saying “innocent until proven guilty” doesn’t apply to football because playing football is not a right. However, how is it fair to destroy someone’s reputation and possibly do serious harm to their future career prospects because of something they MIGHT have done?</p>
<p>Let the legal process run its course. If he’s guilty, he deserves to be severely punished for what he did. If he’s not, then his career and reputation won’t have been ruined over something he didn’t do.</p>
