Just my opinion, but I think it is sad that the NCAA will not let an athlete do commercials and take endorsement deals and still participate in college athletics. I understand not letting an athlete play/ participate in their sport both professionally and at the collegiate level, but not letting them profit at all (after all of the money and time they and their families have put in to get them even close to that level, and the money, attention, and recognition that the top athletes bring to programs) is controlling and short sighted at best, and exploitative at worst. I am sure they have their reasons, but I do not think it is fair to the athletes.
