<p>one of my bikes (30 years old) was left unlocked with a busted chain, rear wheel and chain ring… it got stolen</p>
<p>RUPD recovered it for me (they made it a fixed gear and put new pedals and stuff) so it was better off in the end, but they steal even the crappiest of stuff</p>
<p>Cheap generic bikes from walmart/target are the most stolen. pawning off a cheap schwinn or an old bike is much easier than trying to sell my Specialized Allez Elite road bike anonymously</p>
