I do not meet the requirements for direct admission into the Kelley School of Business (low gpa) so should I just apply to the College of Arts and Sciences or University Division or would they automatically place me into UD once they see that I do not meet the standards for direction admission?

This is taken directly from the Kelley Undergraduate Admissions site at <a href=“Undergraduate | Bachelor's Degree in Business | Indiana Kelley”>Undergraduate | Bachelor's Degree in Business | Indiana Kelley;

If you do not qualify for direct admission, you will not be behind.
Instead, you will start in University Division as a pre-business student, and then apply once you have completed all of the standard admission requirements for Kelley. As a University Division student, you will take the same foundation courses in the first two years as a direct admit student.

So if you are interested in business you should still apply as a business major. See the thread a few below this one, it has a link to the requirements for Standard Admission. And then read the many good posts with advice on what classes to take or avoid, suggestions on summer school classes, etc. to put you in the best position for Standard Admission success. Good luck!

amylase0 Don’t give up hope just yet.

You mention a low GPA. Assuming it’s not too far below the 3.7 required, a high ACT or SAT score may get you in anyway if you went to a tough high school and/or took tough classes. Take the standard test of your choice again and see if you can get it higher.

You may also petition for admission if first denied. You must have either a qualifying score or GPA first.

I would exhaust all avenues to become a DA since gaining standard admission once at IU is clearly much harder.
