The website for IU Kelley School of Business Admissions says this:

For fall 2013 admission, you will automatically be offered direct admission to Kelley if you have:
Been admitted to IU Bloomington and indicated business as your intended major.
Earned a composite ACT score of 29 or SAT total score of 1270, including only the math and critical reading sections. The best available scores from multiple test dates will be considered.
Maintained a GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale during your high school career. Indiana University accepts weighted GPAs.
Fall 2014 admission standards will be available early August.
You will only be offered direct admission if you have met all of these requirements. Direct admission is offered solely on these stated criteria.

Unfortunately, although he is close, your son does not meet the 2013 direct admit criteria (test scores a bit too low) and I doubt the 2014 criteria would be easier than 2013. There is a chance to petition for direct admit once you are accepted to IU, and your son would meet the requirements to petition (based on 2013 criteria) but I don’t know how often people are given direct admit by petition. Maybe someone else can comment on that ? Perhaps he can take the ACT or SAT one more time to bring his score up to the 2013 DA criteria? This site has the direct admit criteria and info on petitioning for DA: [Future Freshmen: Undergraduate Program : Kelley School of Business: Indiana University](<a href=“Undergraduate | Bachelor's Degree in Business | Indiana Kelley”>Undergraduate | Bachelor's Degree in Business | Indiana Kelley)

I can certainly understand why your son loves Kelley. Our daughter fell in love with IU and Kelley in 2012, and we leave TOMORROW to take her to IU as an incoming freshman (she’s doing an early program called IFS). Best of luck to you!
