Are there essays in the petition application?

Hello Everyone, So I just spoke to one of the admissions counselor at Kelley and they informed me that the next round of decisions will be released on the 17th and not before that. I specifically asked him if there were going to be any “rolling” acceptances coming out and he said a definite “no”. Thought I would share for all of those who are still waiting on a decision for their petition.
Hello Everyone, we just got great news. Both my DD got into Kelley Direct Admit through the petition process. We are really excited and good luck to everyone else.
Congrats! We also just found out yesterday that DS was a direct admit to Kelley via petition. We are thrilled also!

Petitioned on Dec. 2, accepted Dec. 16th.
DS accepted through Petition: 1290 SAT, 3.8 WGPA. I heard students from his HS in Indiana are well regarded and admitted at higher rates. Also note for others: According to the KBS Admissions, the petition committee ONLY looks at transcript, scores and the essay you write for the petition. NO other part of your IU application or essays are ever considered or viewed.
We have an out of state friend that just learned about the petition, and applied on Jan. 15, I’ll let you know his outcome GPA 4…5 out of 5, 1300SAT
Was accepted into Kelley awhile ago and my portal has finally been updated to read “Business Undergraduate.”

Any recent updates coming out of Kelley petition process. We were unfamiliar with the process so missed the Dec 2 deadline, but submitted Jan 12.
31 ACT and UW 3.65 with lots of AP. Visited IU this weekend and my son loved it, but only an option if DA to Kelley. Any updates?
Has your friend that submitted on Jan 15 heard back yet. We submitted Jan 12 and have not heard anything.
