Well I pulled the trigger and ordered a PW last night. Was looking at it on my phone just before bed and Amazon reminded me, “if you order in the next 39 minutes, you’ll get this Sunday!” - the marketing worked on me. If I get it tomorrow I will have time to set it up before another work week starts!
Next, looking for a fun cover… Mine is the waterproof edition - I’m thinking overall the last couple of editions are the same size?
I used to get black covers. This time, I got a bright blue cover which is great because it’s easier to find the Kindle when I lose it, multiple times a day.
@abasket I use this style of cover since I like to read in the vertical orientation and the cover acts like a stand with multiple viewing angles. Opening the cover automatically turns on the kindle, although I think if you got the type of kindle with ads you might have to press an extra button to unlock; I don’t know personally since mine doesn’t have ads, but I believe that’s what some reviewers have said. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CY4FG3U/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got an earlier version of this lightweight composition book case. I figured it might deter thieves who would think it was just a paper notebook and not a Kindle, and it did fool my husband once!
@Hello44 That’s funny. I got one of those Fintie also. My only rule is the case has to be bright and of an unusual color! Many times I left my dark navy kindle on a black chair and could not see it right in front of my eyes! Wish I got orange.
The current 32GB iPad is on sale on Amazon for $250 - maybe the price drop is related to the upcoming release. Regardless, $250 is a great price and I’d jump on it if I was a price-sensitive buyer.
I’ve had the previous 2 generations of iPad and bought W the current one for Christmas - there really hasn’t been much change in the past few years at all.
