Kindle vs Ipad vs Nook

My H & I share our kindle acct with the kids. We all have access to the same books. ( if you have Amazon prime, there are also books you can borrow.)
We don’t read the same book at the same time, otherwise I would turn the sync option off, which allows me to keep my place when reading the same book on my iPad & my iPhone.

Well, well, well. Interesting turn of events. After all this planning, DS finds a great deal on a pair of gently used skis/bindings that he wants instead of the Ipad! The funny thing is, this whole gift thing took on a life of its own, from an initial misunderstanding when he first simply wanted a copy of Steve Jobs book, and I asked (via text) if he had a kindle or an ipad (meaning if he wanted it in electronic format, which did he have). It kind of grew from there. Will be MUCH clearer next time , and will NOT text questions about birthday gifts. :)
