It was widely reported back in the day that a mohel performed the circumcision
Public knowledge. The royal family used a medical doctor who was also a mohel. https://www.thejc.com/news/why-are-male-members-of-the-royal-family-circumcised-by-a-mohel-qlc8hezk#:~:text=The%20London%20Jewish%20communityâs%20official,procedures%20for%20non-Jewish%20babies.
Folks can find out they have CML with a regular blood test (say, a pre-op CBC) and be totally asymptomatic. I have CML and have had many folks on the listserves I follow report just that. I was symptomatic with fatigue and weight loss, but didnât think it was anything serious til the CBC showed otherwise.
Prince William has definitely joined the sandwich generation. Hope his father has something that is easily treatable and that he does well going forward.
And itâs great that he got there! Letâs look at the cup as half full instead of half empty.
Just stating my own thinking that most people wouldnât rush to their parentâs side if there was no urgency. I rushed out to my momâs side this past weekend because she needed to go to an emergency room. I had to cancel few engagements. I am sure Prince Harryâs dance card is much fuller than mine.
Perhaps Harry took a trip to London as a favor, divert the press interest.
Apparently Harry visited his dad and returned to California within 24 hours. He apparently did not see his brother.
Yes, discussed upthread.
RememberâŠhis brother is dealing with three young children and a wife recuperating from her own surgery.
Iâm glad he went to see his father.
I thought it was a good point made in this thread about the significance of no public statement being issued that the cancer was caught early.
My momâs cancer was discovered after she had hernia surgery and wasnât recovering well. Her case was extreme. She lived only three days after they diagnosed the cancer.
Would think that is all the more reason maybe they could have had a brief mending of the fences. Oh wellâŠ
I read that the cancer had been caught early: "Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said the cancer was âcaught early.â I assume he has inside-information.
It is in this article regarding NHS wait times: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/02/08/king-charles-cancer-nhs-waiting-times/#college-admissions
Nope. It was later clarified that it was his interpretation of the announcement from Buck House.
Not sure how he got that from the announcement! A little concerning that such an influential person is willing to make public statements based on nothing but wishful thinking. I hope that doesnât carry over into public affairs content as well!
âKing Charles will receive âa pioneering and less invasive treatmentâ as he embarks on his battle against cancer, it is understood.â - The Mirror
More similarity to my prior experience. âPioneeringâ = experimental, and âless invasiveâ = youâre too old for a bone marrow transplant.
Most likely thing is urologic cancer. There have been major, bladder preserving treatments developed. I suspect this is what is going on.
I hope youâre right.
And then thereâs this:
He waited so long to be king, maybe for a short time.
