<p>Not being “gym rats” is probably part of the problem. Our kids have much bigger fish to fry than to worry about where they place on a sports team; after all, it’s not sports that are going to pay their bills. With that said, I think that there is too much emphasis placed on performing in sports at the college and high school level…perhaps that’s why the U.S. is behind a lot of other countries in their math and science scores…okay off my soapbox now!</p>
