<p>cheers - I love natural marble too. (and I’m a sloppy cook…lol!)</p>

<p>I actually have finely polished marble accents (dark emperador) in my bathroom floors (and bedroom fireplace)and it has held up beautifully with foot traffic. </p>

<p>Coincidentally, my nightstand has a dark emperador top too. I didn’t realized I was matching the nightstand when I selected the marble for the floor. (subconscious thing I suppose). That nightstand top does have a bit of fill in it…so sometimes that needs to be replaced…but it’s not a biggie.</p>

<p>Cheers, I’m impressed. I had a chunk of marble as a cutting board for a while (in a rental house with formica counters) and it was badly stained and cut in no time flat. I do have marble in the bathroom–but I don’t cut up lemons or tomatoes in the bathroom.</p>
