<p>Well that’s the other comment. Most of my teachers knew about Brandeis and a few gave me tilted head looks asking, “Are you Jewish?” My government teacher then spent the entire year pressing Dershowitz books on me. He meant well, I guess. O.o</p>
<p>Yeah, its kind of annoying having people not know about your school. I got tired of trying to explain, so I started telling people to just look up wherever I was going. Some of my friends actually did at one point, and were impressed, haha.</p>
<p>I know BU is not a LAC but I was pointing out that if you do not go to the “prestigious” flagship university you get crap about it constantly. LAC or not. I could go to Stanford and still get “So you’re not going to Clemson?”. My advice to the OP, just ignore whatever they say and go where you will be happy.</p>

<p>sometimes, slightly. but then I talk to the stupid people I know who have only heard of the three state schools (I know people who haven’t heard of cornell and most of the ivies), and I realize I don’t really care what they think.</p>
