Union College in NY gives merit - I think max 30k
Right, which wonât get close to OPâs budget of $35K (COA this year is $82K)
York College of PA.
I also forgot to mention two other northeast LACs that my older daughter got merit offers from two years ago:
Hartwick in upstate NY gave her $43k in merit, bringing COA below $20k
St. Michaelâs in Burlington VT gave her $27k in merit, bringing COA to about $36k
She was applying as a theatre major at schools that did not have particularly strong programs with high enrollment, so I wonder if that choice influenced the award.
I was able to 43k a year in merit from Hobart William Smith and 40k from Saint Lawrence with a 3.6 GPA and 34 ACT. It sounds like you could get similar numbers form both.
This cycle, my S24 with 1380 / 3.7 UW got $25,000-$39,000 from the schools below and the resulting COA (merit only) was $30,000-$45,000.
Clark
Seton Hall
Marist
St Joes (Philly)
Loyola MD (Baltimore)
Manhattan College
UDel and George Mason (VA) gave smaller merit but also reached the same COA as above.
