I haven’t gotten anything in the mail yet, so I’m hoping I will tomorrow! My stats are … 1310 SAT, 3.9 unweighted GPA, 4.14 weighted GPA.

@highschooler1111 sure! 1480 SAT, GPA not really convertible but top 1-2%, female applying for CS from a small IT high school. I had a bunch of environmental, tech, and school/management ECs, and my application was mainly based on those three fields. My EFC is a bit small, around ~$3k

Congratulations, but can you explain the Full Ride? Was this a Lafayette merit? My understanding is there are 2 types of merit, and I I didn’t think they released these yet.

Hey guys, I got defer from Lafayette college, any chance I have for regular decision?

My son just received an email from his admission counselor saying that if you received the Marquis Scholarship it was included in your acceptance package.

@2boysplustwins Typically, the Marquis Scholarship or Fellowship notification occurs in February. Consideration for these awards does not occur until after all applications have been submitted under the new format, so both ED and RD applicants have a chance at the merit awards.

@imwaleed I can’t speak on your application in particular, but you will be given equal opportunity alongside all regular decision applicants for admission. Being deferred is by no means a rejection, and if Lafayette is your top choice, I would recommend reaching out to admissions for clarification and to demonstrate interest.

Hi, I was recently reading on the Lafayette website about their class of 2023 and everyone looks so impressive! (with major national recognitions and companies and startups and stuff) What were your stats and activities? Do I have a chance if I haven’t done anything majorly impressive? I also am applying for a lot of financial aid
