Well just got email to check portal - rejected just came through after seven pm

Did anyone elses portal get updated? Mine didnt and i still havent recieved anything in the mail. I live in Hawaii so that may be the reason why i havent gotten anything yet
The date for the decision on my portal is gone, and it’s now saying application status for (my name). Anyone has the same? I still haven’t seen any update regarding my status yet.

@kcat90: our daughters sound similar. Chemistry, too. I could not get her to audition, but she is a committed and talented strings girl. A minor is a real possibility. She’s also deeply passionate about track. Gettysburg, for her, may wind up being everything she needs and wants. I’m wary of the frat scene, but outside of that? What’s not to love. We’ll see!
@Decal7 - I really think the strong music scene at G-burg is where my daughter would find her peeps and this will help her steer clear of Greek life in general which she wants no part of. I was Greek at Bucknell (Delta Gamma) and they have chapters at Gettysburg and Lafayette but I won’t even SUGGEST she pursue that because it is just not her at all! A music minor may be a great fit for your daughter! If she enjoys playing, it may be a “fun” outlet in addition to her sports involvement.

are there any applicants received their decisions on the portal whether domestic or international?
I am an international applicant and didn’t receive anything yet.
@kcat90 roughly half of the members of the student symphonic band at GB are non music majors. Some are minors, others are just students who like playing with committed musicians. Last year the whole group did a European tour during spring break. Same composition goes for the marching band; that’s the only school with a MB in its conference, they only play home games and their winding marches through campus to the stadium and back sometimes take longer than the games.
The mail just came…and still nothing.
I live in PA! People from as far away as California and Oregon have received word.
This is odd.
I guess I have no idea how the mail system operates.
I checked the portal just now and I got rejected, it’s sad…
@kcat90 what year were you at Bucknell? My wife and I went there, and she was a DG. Both of my older boys went to Lafayette. My one son who wanted nothing to do with Greek in HS joined a Fraternity, and the other son who was interested in the Greek life never joined, as he found his peeps elsewhere. They will change in college.
@bp0001 My husband and I both graduated from Bucknell in '90. He was a Chi Phi then stayed to get his masters. Very true about how they change in college so who knows what may happen! I guess that’s what makes it exciting!
@spa2100 when you search enroll it tells you to log into the portal…as of today after 3 it will be updated…
@IWentToCollege It may be worth a call to admissions so they know you haven’t received your letter.
