May I ask how you went about petitioning to Laf? My son is in a similar situation and we received merit aid from many other schools except Laf and he really wants to go there. Thanks!

Congratulations! I hope your DD loves Gettysburg as much as I did. More importantly, it sounds like you took a really thoughtful approach to selection. FWIW, I was a Political Science major and the department is a great strength of the school. Regardless of major, vast majority of my friends have gone on to do great things and to your point, it is a much more balanced political environment than most LACs these days.
