Landscape Architect

Great website for those interested in Landscape Architecture: [American Society of Landscape Architects - Home](http://www.asla.org) or the American Society of Landscape Architecture’s website. It has a link with all of the LAAB (Landscape Arch Accreditation Board) schools and whether they are a BSLA or BLA. Most of the programs we looked at were 5 yr pre-professional BLA programs. (S is a very happy “'scaper” at Virginia Tech). He is very content with his choice to go into this field and has said that he feels that it will allow him to pursue a wide array of interests once he graduates.

I will warn you, though, it is a pretty intense major with many, many hours devoted to design and a heavy commitment to the sciences, esp. horticulture/ecology/geology. He hasn’t had much free time this year and has lamented (just once or twice fortunately) about seeing his hallmates going out to play ultimate when he has to head to the studio. Hope this helps and good luck to you!
