I carry a laptop backpack as do our kids. Our daughter carries a backpack with books and papers but no laptop. An iPad would fit nicely in and giver her web access during the day.

I am fascinated with the ipad. I think that I would like having one, but will wait a while to see if there are any bugs to work out. I really don’t like laptops and only use a MAC desktop. However, I will not read long articles or books sitting at the desk. I think the ipad for me would be great for downloading books and it would be nice to have one for internet while doing any traveling. I have looked at adding internet service to phone but I don’t think I would like having to read things on the little screen.
