My son is struggling with this now. He wants to study engineering and received decent scholarship $. But even with those $ the cost is high. He can go to Arizona State as a National Merit Finalist for free. He knows the Engineering program at Minnesota is a much higher ranked program but he would be in the Barrett’s Honors program at Arizona State and have zero debt. It’s a very hard decision.
