@partyof5 - The plane ticket is “free” but can those points be used for another trip with a higher personal benefit or cost sometime in the future? I’d rather use them for some fun vacation than a short trip from DC to NYC.
@doschicos yes, but we have a ton of points because of my husbands travel, so I am not really worried about burning the points.
The airport problem isn’t at the DC end of the trip. It’s at the NYC end.
@Marian I know which is why the rest of my post said, " I do see where it would be SO much easier to be dropped off at Penn Station, as the company is about 10 mins from Penn Stn.
I know the train is probably best but a free plane ticket is hard to pass up."
