Latinos/as at Princeton

california1600, the sat score does not prove how smart a person is. obviously, you are an idiot. you are living proof of my premise thank you very much!!! LOOK EVERYONE, PEOPLE WHO GET 1600’S ARE OFTENTIMES (WITH CALIFORNIA’1600 IN THIS CASE) COMPLETE IDIOTS. why dont you go back to your average state school.

^^ My goodness. You have such a complex about state schools that match and outperform Ivies. Also rich smart kids who attend UC’s. And also high SAT scores.

You need help. Do you have health insurance? See this is why the Bush policies fail us in treating mental illness. I am so sorry.

Calculusboy554, are you calling UC Berkeley an “average state school?”

this is just more more unsubstantiated bs. it’s unacceptable.

I met a guy on a ski lift last winter in his 40’s. He graduated from Princeton and didn’t have a job and still didn’t know what to do with his life…On the other hand, my neighbor is a builder, never went to college worked on construction since he graduated from HS. He owns a huge mansion drives a Mercedes and guess what? He sent his kid to St. Paul’s

Go figure

babouche, it all depends on the person’s work ethic, values, etc, etc. you can go to the crappiest community college and use every resource available and learn more than a person that goes to princeton. babouche, we i will talk to you about this at princeton…

That was my point…hard work=success. And I won’t be accepted, even as a latina. Ivys are giving priority to “underpriveleged” rather “underrepresented”, and if those kids can’t handle the work, colleges will put them on a different track, the same as the athletes

I don’t detect any overt racism against minorities here. Neither do I feel that my opportunities to develop as a person are being denied.

Cali1600 is a complete idiot. Princeton is different from its atmosphere ten years ago.

Good day.

people have no problem wearing “Gay? Fine by me” shirts here. no one will repress you for activism; they might at most be indifferent to your cause.

phil: Simply put, Princeton has been amazing and I have not once regretted my decision to ed here rather than the other schools i was considering strongly (namely, harvard and yale). However, I was a bit surprised with the work load but aside from that, ive had an amazing 3 months here (even tho im a minority).

cali: you are still ■■■■■■■■ and I am quite frankly quite happy you have such negative perceptions of princeton because that assures me that you would never apply here and therefore never be within 100 miles of me (even though if you did apply, your arrogant ass would be rejected).

mzhang: damn right, but im inclined to believe princeton wasnt all that bad 10 years ago as ive had family friends that went here about 6-8 years ago (minorities as well) and they absolutely loved it. I think cali’s sentiments are better suited to the latter 19th century.

cali: you are an idiot

its a good thing no one likes cali. i thought i was the only one.

^^ Cool. Im glad things gotten better since 10 years ago. Its bout time some progress was made. Laters!

BTW, its better to pretend like things changed. Like you are allowed to pursue ur own ethnic identity. Cus if u don’t, then you minorities will get stoned on campus.

Laters! Peace! Adios!

stop kidding around

I love how this guy signs his combative (and ridiculous) posts with “later, peace,” etc.

It really makes the content of his posts much kinder and much easier to believe…or not.

Yes, its much more polite than forcing people to lie and exaggerate.

Only thing good about him is he can express himself flawlessly:

And offend anyone anytime.

Sorry. I’m afraid you’ve lost me. Not signing combative posts with “peace” forces people to “lie and exaggerate”? Ahh well…the joys of free speech.

Such is the topic we’re currently studying in government. Fun times. I think I’ll bring this up as an example in class…

An example of free speech? haha…

I’m willing to bet that Cali1600 will be back here to quote my comment (the “ahh well, the joys of free speech” one) and say something like, “well, enjoy those ‘joys’ now, because once you get to Princeton (if you can actually get in, that is), you won’t be able to exercise free speech anymore. I’m just enlightening you. You should thank me for it. Peace out, friends!”

Lol, perfect, kebree. And right on the nail too. Oh well. I think he’s gone, and I don’t like talking about people (to some degree), so…butter cookies, anyone?

I don’t like talking about people either…but man, when they bash Princeton without valid cause…
Anyway, it’s cool now, so yes…the cookies sound good.

dang. I dunno what I said, but you people sure sound disoriented, confused, and defeated. My apologies. That was not my intention. smirk

Chicken Nuggets are 99 cents on Tuesdays. Enjoy!
