Laundry Methodology Questions?

I adhere to the slacker theory too, but I really think it’s more likely that my kids got my genes. I didn’t develop any allergies until middle age. I do think that my youth in Thailand and Africa exposed me to so many bugs that I almost never get sick now. When we took Mathson in to get his Meng. vaccine they couldn’t find his records. It turned out he hadn’t visited the doctor in three years!

I did realize that your tongue was in your cheek, cartera!

Among my favorite laundry tips: When things are a bit wrinkled and there’s no time/interest to get out the iron, place in the dryer on permanent press cycle with a damp t-shirt or washcloth. The ‘steaming’ effect is almost as effective as ironing. I throw in my husband’s golf shirts that are hung to dry.

And don’t forget to learn how to fold your shirts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2RjX2gzOYs</a> before watching this S would never fold a shirt - now he takes over the job. (this was posted on CC last fall).

Wow, Oaklandmom! I’m scared to try that!

I learned how to fold t-shirts by watching that same youtube video. Tried to follow Martha Stewart, but for the life of me, I couldn’t get it. Folding them that way seems to make them flatter and easier to fit more in when packing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciTPfhOHoOQ</a> is even better for actually learning how. We just tried it and it works but it does require a large folding surface.
