Another vote to wait until you are healed and full mobility is returned. When I was 16yo, I was rear-ended & my VW beetle totaled. The next day I couldn’t get out of bed and was in a neck brace for a month. This was in the 70s before MRIs, but the xrays were negative. My parents settled for a very small amount, if anything.

I now have 3 partially herniated discs in my c-spine that has left me with reduced range of motion turning my head to that side.

Doubt an attorney will take this case on retainer. Its small and probably not worth their while. It might be worth paying an attorney for a one time consultation to get these kinds of questions answered. Your insurance carrier will probably subrogate and get reimbursed by the driver’s insurance, but you have I believe a right to be compensated for any and all out-of pocket expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering and loss of amenity.

Thank you all for you advice. I see the doctor tomorrow to get the splint off (I sure hope). I will wait until it’s all healed up before signing anything. It will be interesting to see wht they end up offering.
