I volunteer at LAX in the Tom Bradley International Terminal one night a week. Alaska Airlines is now in Terminal 6, three terminals away from the Tom Bradley Terminal, about a five to ten minute walk. Your son would exit the international terminal, turn right and keep on walking, past terminals 4, 5, and then 6. If he did not want to walk, he can go to the blue sign that says “Airport Shuttles” that is outside of the terminal, and he can take a free shuttle bus that will take him to Terminal 6 with his luggage (if he has any luggage with him). In terms of eating, the International Terminal has quite a few eating places on the third floor of the Terminal, probably better than the food in Terminal 6. He could eat there and then proceed to Terminal 6 if he wanted. Also, if he has any questions, the baggage claim area of all of the terminals have booths where the volunteers and paid staff sit to assist passengers. I am there on Wednesday nights from 7-10 pm!

Thanks Rousse54, that’s good to know that there are volunteers to assist passengers. I never knew there were volunteers at airports. He won’t run into you, however, as he will be there Sunday morning.
