LAX - Delta long lay-over question

I agree. Battling your way out of LAX and back in again later would be chore even if you were familiar with the town and the airport. Being from out of town would make it that much harder. Just stay in LAX and bring a good book.

However, I would point out that she is going to have to come back through security anyway. She’ll enter LAX at terminal #5 (Delta) and have to go outside and catch a shuttle over to the international terminal and go through security again for her connecting flight.

Amesie, TBIT is completely separately from all the other terminals including the Delta Terminal 5. You should look for a club/lounge inside TBIT that will sell a One-Day Pass.

realistically, the whole discussion could be moot, particularly if her flt into LAX is delayed. She can kill 30+ minutes just slowly getting to the shuttle bus around to get around to the International terminal. Then, it could be another 45+ minutes getting thru security at the Bradley Terminal. Once she finds her gate, she might only have a couple of hours left to hang.

What dmd said… Just read a book, walk around, stretch, no one cares at an airport…ives seen people just stretched put on the floor, move seen women doing lunges, six hours is nothing and don’t leave the airport

What Blue Bayou and dmd said-- 6 hours is not a long layover. By the time she changes terminals, checks in and gets through security, she’ll have burned up a lot of time.

There are some restaurants upstairs in the Tom Bradley departure lounge that she could check out before she goes through security. (They used to have some very comfortable seating up there, but they have ‘remodeled’, so it’s mostly wood chairs/tables now.

As I recall, there isn’t much to do on the other side of security.

Just remind her to bring her smart phone charger with her in carry on bags. If she is like the rest of the 20 something’s in the airport, she will be able to keep herself busy with her smart phone.
