Leaning towards submit SAT scores outside middle 50%

I recall when looking at this it really did not seem to matter if your looked at 2019-20 or 2018-19.

Piggy backing on this…
What about a score that it at or above the 50th%, but is skewed quite heavily towards reading/writing? My son’s EBRW score is at or near the 75% for many of his schools, while the math is closer to the 25%. He is applying for design based majors (or undecided in arts & sciences) everywhere…so nothing that is particularly math heavy.

My D19 (admittedly before test optional) submitted her 30 ACT which was at the 25th percentile (eek) of the school she was applying to (and actually stats for her admit year showed 25th percentile at 31 so she ended up being below), but her R&W were high - superscored, she got either a 34 or 35 on the one and 36 on the other). She was applying to humanities, got a place. So there is a sample of one. If it was 50th percentile or above overall I’d probably submit regardless tbh

If your student is looking to go into a field that is in alignment with the stronger score - I personally would submit it.

I’d go for it. Keep in mind if the subscore is around the 25th, kids with that subscore were admitted!
