Son was waitlisted - anyone know when they start to pull students off the waitlist for Fall 2018?
Im so happy I got in but I need to know if I got any financial aid because Lehigh is so much more expensive than my other options. Does anyone know when financial aid info will become available?
To set expectations - Lehigh had 2799 applicants accept a place on the waiting list last year and only took 53 off.The year before it was 66 out of 2126. So the odds are not in anyone’s favor unfortunately.

Admitted into IDEAS!!! I’m so happy and kind of surprised. It makes up for being waitlisted at Rice today lol. I can’t seem to access financial aid though. Is anyone else having trouble with this?
@adlgel that’s disappointing, but good reality check. Better make other plans. I wonder about the January admission thing? Any stats on that?

@adlgel The odds are a bit better than that for interested students though because many students don’t accept a place on the waitlist. You are correct that the odds aren’t great, but they are better than that looks.
@pumpkinpi314 I can’t view anything besides the admission decision either! Do you get an error message when you try to create an admitted students portal?

This is ridiculous and quite honestly, unprofessional. To make everyone wait until the very last minute on a Friday, then have the portal fail or whatever, only to have the entire Admissions staff leave for the weekend, leaving how many prospective students sweating it out over a weekend? The Twitter account says “refresh, that should do it” to dozens of people, then goes silent at 5:25PM, meaning that one person manning social media also left for the weekend.

@mathNerd1100 know 3 years ago IBE had about 1200 applications for 50-55 spots (I’m sure the admit more than they have spots based on predicted yield).
Waitlisted… Intended major—Statistics, 34 C ACT, 800 Math 2, 770 Bio-M, Great Common Application, Great Teacher Recs, Mediocre Lehigh Supplement. I don’t think that I was a particularly great “fit” for the school. Congrats to those accepted! 
@Much2learn those stats are for students who accepted a spot on the waitlist, not for all waitlisted students.
@mathNerd1100 I got an error message three or four times, but it eventually let me through. After creating an account on the admitted students portal, there was a link to click to view financial aid, but it is not working.
I have no decision yet.
@pumpkinpi314 What did you do to get in? Just keep refreshing?
