I just got the letter saying I was admitted and invited to Diversity Weekend. I also live in NJ as well and the letter came in the mail. Good luck to everyone!!

My friend just got accepted. From NJ.

Did your friend receive the acceptance through mail or email? congrats to him!

Got it through the mail!

My daughter has a thin business envelope waiting for her at home. She won’t be home until after rowing practice so am anxiously awaiting to hear what the news is. I’m surprised they didn’t send email notifications first. Someone else on this thread seemed to indicate that they send some notifications early? Also, what is diversity days?

My daughter was also accepted! That thin envelope was an acceptance with an invitation to diversity weekend and they will pay for the plane flight there! Very generous of them. Have to wait until the end of the month for more information including financial aid.

Do you know if any international students who are accepted get that envelope?

Accepted today! :D

accepted as well!! :)

jcrush18 I don’t know. There is scant information on when they send out notices. I suspect these acceptance letters are early ones and that most acceptance letters are sent later on. I think these notices are for students invited to the diversity weekend, perhaps?

It says in the letter that we were accepted early because we were invited to diversity day weekend. I was really scared at first when i saw the tiny envelope…
I’m from CT

If you are accepted, does your portal status change too?

How do they decide who gets to attend diversity weekend? Is it their top applicants?

@BMEplease the portal doesn’t change until late march, when the admission decisions are available

@fk2705 but when is late march?

For those asking about Diversity Life Weekend, I am not sure how long Lehigh has been doing it, but it is a program where Lehigh invites accepted students that represent some type of diversity to the campus for a special weekend. I’m guessing there were about 150-200 kids there last year. It overlaps the Accepted Student Day, so students attend that as well as the D-Life activities. My S attended last year and really enjoyed it. He made his final decision to attend Lehigh after attending. Good luck to all.

@luhopeful765 they didn’t specify grrr… i wish they would just give a concrete date! It’s super annoying

I got the letter yesterday and was invited to Diversity Life Weekend. I am from TX

Daughter attended a diversity overnight (DAP). She did not get a letter so expecting rejection She just got waitlisted at UVA. Tough year. Waiting to the end. I feel for all these kids stressing. Still believing things will work the way they should. As a mom just sad her first choice that she got accepted to is so far. We are NJ so we really wanted Lehigh. Good Luck everyone

Lehigh posted on twitter that “decisions will be posted online sometime next week”
