I’m not assuming/presuming anything, and certainly not about Smith. To be clear, I don’t know anything about Smith. I’m just defending the original post by @spellingbead which simply asked

My sister goes to Smith and says that most of the people she knows from there are gay. What % of the school is homosexual? I could not find this data anywhere.

I don’t see any “negative undertones” in this question. Nor does my post assume in any way that a school that is welcoming of lesbians is less welcoming or less comfortable for straight students. In fact, I actually feel the opposite – that such as school is likely to be more welcoming of people in general.</p>
