<p>Yeah, I’d like to know too! Academic reputation aside, how is Merced? It’s the only school I got into in California (rejected from SB & Irvine this week 
), so my parents would rather me go here than to my OOS schools (Barrett at ASU Polytechnic or Ohio State University), although I have convinced them to consider it. ASU would be cheaper than in-state at Merced, and OSU would be the most expensive (scholarships: $9,750/year at ASU vs $2,600/year at Merced vs $8,700 at OSU). My biggest thing is school atmosphere; I hate how it seems most of the UCs (ESPECIALLY Merced) have no school spirit, and I definitely hate how Merced has next to no sports. I wasn’t even considering Merced until they sent me the scholarship and I got rejected from those other schools and it’s still last on my list, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to hear what people at Merced have to say.</p>
