lethargic dog

Igloo- I’m so sorry. Your heart must be broken. We’ll be here when you’re ready to come back.

:(

I truly hope that “it’s over” means that your dog is now well. I really, truly hope that for you. If not, I am so very sorry.

So sad to read your post igloo. I’m so so sorry you lost your buddy.

So sorry, igloo. Pets are family. The loss is very painful. I agree with acollegestudent as well and think his/her post was well written.

So very sorry, igloo. No matter how old they are or how sick, it is still devastating to lose one of our furry babies. Big hugs to you and your family.

Iglooo, you did everything you could and you loved him very very much. He was a lucky dog to have had you for a parent.

Iglooo - so sorry for your loss. I know we will be in the same spot before long and it is very very sad. I hope you find comfort in lots of good memories, funny stories and photos.

Igloo and Rockville, I am so sorry. Many of us have been there and know how devastating pet loss is.

Thank you for the support. He had a good life. He was healthy until the end but getting blind and deaf and developing a hump on his back from arthiritis lately. He knew his time was up. He kept going out and rested his head on the ground while standing up on all four legs. I just wish I admitted that sooner and let him be instead of shoving water and food down his throat. We brought him home from the hospital to spend the last hours. He went peacefully.

I’m so sorry for your loss iglooo. We’re still mourning our dogs death in May. Dogs have so much love and it’s not an easy decision to let them go.

I’m so so sorry Iglooo, I’ve lost a few best friends too. I’m glad he didn’t suffer long and went so peacefully, at home, surrounded by love.

So sorry for your loss.

It is the lucky dog who finds a home with a family he can love and who loves him. Remember the good times.

Awww…igloo, so sorry. You loved that dog and did what you felt was necessary at the time. Don’t beat yourself up over trying to save his life.

Iglooo, it is really hard to know when to let it go. Sometimes dogs do turn around and get healthy again, you had no way of knowing for sure whether that would happen until things got worse… and then you knew and you did the right thing. I am sure your puppy could feel that you were trying to help him and that he was loved. They really do know these things.

Sorry. I am sure he felt your love

Very, very sorry for your loss. Am glad you were able to bring him home, and were able to be with him in the end.

I’m so sorry Igloo. Your buddy is now playing with our Simon, who passed over in September, without the constraints of pain and age…

Igloo, my best buddy, Bruce, was waiting right there for a new playmate. I just know they’re frolicking, Simon’s there too, Mezzo’sMama, and all the other buddies they’ve met along the way.

Guaranteed.

Thank you all. This thread is making me cry so much.
