Let's Be Honest

I’ll take a shot, but I’m just a parent of an entering freshmen so this REALLY is just my humble opinion based on what I’ve seen and heard so far:

Do some consider it a party school? Definitely yes, though it doesn’t look like you’ll be ostracized if you don’t drink or party. Plus, the school went through some bad publicity on a local TV station last year and appears to be ready to crack down more severely on alcohol use this year. Time will tell. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=wfmy+elon&search=Search

Extremely competitive, backbiting, etc? I really haven’t gotten that vibe at all, and even the negative reviews I’ve read of Elon don’t mention this as a problem.

Opportunities for spiritual growth? I’d say yes. The Facebook page for Elon’s class of 2011 has a thread about christians, and it’s fairly active.

Accountability? I think it really depends on the professor. Classes do tend to be fairly small, so IF the professor cares it would be hard to hide an absentee problem.

Support? Again, I think this depends on the specific professor, but I’ve find that Elon’s overall reputation is one of strong student support from the administration and professors in general.

And yes, the tuition is one price for all
