Let's say random things

X-ray tomorrow morning.
Yay :(

^^They don’t really help (in terms of being awarded course credit) when it comes private schools though; I should have mentioned that. I suppose that it depends on the person and what schools he or she plans to consider.

I don’t think that I qualify for a fee waiver, but that’s definitely a nice benefit for those who do!

Double check if you qualify, some people think they make too much but they really don’t.

Depends on the private school, too. Some of the Ivies give you credit for courses not in your major or they let you skip the class and get into a more advanced course even if they don’t give you the credit. You should definitely check the policies.

I’m probably not getting into an Ivy, but I will get into a UC and have sophomore standing and graduate in 3 years thanks to AP.

^^And I hope you are ok Marinebio. Best of luck with your X-rays.

Thanks!
I’m in my 3rd week (going on 1 month) of the stomach flu, so I hope I’m okay too.

That’s interesting; I didn’t realize that several private schools offered credit for AP tests. The majority of the ones that I searched didn’t seem to offer any credit, but maybe that information was buried somewhere else on their websites (my searches aren’t usually too thorough).

Yes, if you plan on applying to the UC’s, AP credit could definitely benefit you in terms of standing and course credit. I think that I’m going towards the community college route for that though (at least this summer and next year). Paying less than $5 per course for being a high school student, in addition to taking several SAT subject tests, seems like a great deal in comparison to playing hundreds for AP tests.

I guess that it all depends on your financial situation and how much you can afford to spend/if you can obtain any fee waivers. There seem to be an array of ways to obtain college credit at the high school level; I just don’t think that taking AP tests is the best option for me at this point.

(in addition to taking several SAT subject tests)*

It’s raining!

… long weekend >:]

Why must it be so cold tomorrow? :frowning: It was so pleasant the past few days… I really need summer now.

Also, sometimes I really wish CC would be like the old days. Too bad that will never happen due to certain cough mods cough

History essay…

Today, I locked my keys in my car. In the rain. and I’m already sick…

^That’s unfortunate.

^^^There will probably be more activity during the summer. There seems to be an even greater amount of limitations in comparison to last year though.

'bout what? I love History papers.

I plan to major in history next year!

Awesome, same here.
