Chances?

Addendum:
I got into Swarthmore’s Discovery Weekend and Taste of Carleton. I also have great recs/phenomenal essays.

why not think about some highly ranked selective LAC’s that have a great intellectual life, and yet are undergrad centered and have a more relaxed atmosphere with lots of opportunities? Think about Colgate, Grinell, Connecticut College, Washington & Lee or Reed

I am trying not to add any colleges onto my list-- as you can see, it is extremely long already!

Bump?

You would really fit in at Tufts, I’m currently engaged in research through a professor at Northeastern in collaboration with the UN, and a bunch of other opportunities are coming along, and I’m a first semester freshman!

Tufts would be a reach due to your relatively low GPA (compared to applciants with 4.0) but your ECs stand out. If you were to apply ED, you would have a 50/50 shot. RD would be hard seeing you’ll be applying along w/ 15,000 othe rpeople.

Coming from a Sociology/Anthropology person at Carleton…the department and the profs really inspired me, it’s not overcrowded like Biology and there’s a lot of freedom to study what you want as opposed to a rigid course filled with prerequesites. You just might like it there <grin></grin>
