<p>In regards to your first question, I believe most life science majors require 31A, 31B, and 32A, or 3A, 3B, and 3C. According to this page [AP</a> Credit - College of Letters and Science - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](<a href=“http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/APCreditLS.htm]AP”>http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/APCreditLS.htm)
only a 4 or a 5 on the BC exam will allow you to skip 31A, and to skip 31B you need a 5, so yes, your AP test will count if you got a 4 or 5 (if you got a 3 you would only get units). You would still have to complete 32A or 3C, and if you decide to do so at the CC (I’m guessing the equivalence is Calc III), I’m pretty sure it will transfer over such that when you eventually get to UCLA you wouldn’t have to take any more math classes for your major (unless you want to take stats or for some medical schools that don’t accept AP credit and require a year of math taken at the university level), but check with a counselor to make sure.</p>
