<p>Crew guys are freakin’ insane. My roommate is a walk-on for the heavy-weight team, and surprisingly, he’s in the top 12 or so for the plebe team. Now that the season has started, he’s rarely at lunch, misses mando dinner, and comes back late and exhausted. I usually don’t see him after 3rd period until 7 or so that night. And morning practices start this week at 0500 to add to that.</p>
<p>Everybody and their mother goes out for crew in the beginning. When sports started over plebe summer, about 20 of the 39 plebes in my company were in crew. Now, only 5 are still with it. Only 1 of those 5 were recruited. The others had no rowing experience at all, but are stickin’ with it.</p>
<p>If you have rowing experience, they’ll take you in a heartbeat and you should have no problem.</p>
