OH EM GEE SERIOUSLY? That’s less than a week away.

This is really starting to freak me out!

Has anyone already had decisions from any other schools?

portugueseninja:
SAT I - 2190 (not that high, messed up math, but a 800 on CR which is considered great at where I’m from. Most people here get it the other way round, with low CR scores)
SAT II -
Math IIC: 800
Lit: 740
Biology M:720 (Not a biology student since the past 2 years, self-studied for a month)

School record is pretty good. I’m in the top 1% of my school which itself is one of the most recognized schools of the country.

And no, haven’t received any other decisions except for a school where I applied for the heck of it and wouldn’t be going to although I got in.

Just thinking about the FA now!

@hachan14: I read the thread last year and the decision came out on Mar 20. So we can -estimate the date for this year :D, probably Mar 19 'cause it’s a Friday :-?

That would be awesome if MoHo released decisions on the 19th. I’m getting tired of waiting! =)

Thanks for that, Dancer. Your scores are very impressive, you should feel proud of yourself :)

If it’s the 19th then that’s only 5 sleeps to go!

Thank you so much =)

Where are you from, if you don’t mind me asking? Always good to know more internationals, we are at a disadvantage mostly =P

Last year at this time we (Mom, dad and D) were on campus taking a tour on the day that decisions were going out. It was Friday, March 20. No one in the admissions office would talk to us – they were so busy stuffing envelopes, meeting, etc.

If like last year, you all only have a few days to wait. Check your e-mail every afternoon. If RD is like ED1, you will get an e-mail telling you to check ISIS. My D got her e-mail around 5 to 8PM, likey because the computer person pressed the send button then, after everyone was properly entered on the computer.

Good luck.

Dancer, I’m from the UK But I need complete FA so while I am extremely hopeful that my dreams of US college will come true, I know it’s going to be tough to get somewhere with full aid.

ConCerndDad - thanks! That’s so exciting! Did your daughter decide to attend MHC?

Portu: Yes, she is going to be attending MHC. Planning classes and studying dorms frequently.

Hey Picasso! Just to let you know, MHC has a relatively high acceptance rate because it is a women’s college. You may want to ask someone how exactly this sort of formula works because I have difficulty understanding it exactly, but if Mount Holyoke were coed, its acceptance rate would be much lower. Also, Mount Holyoke is a top-tier academic college. Ranking systems are highly controversial and do not provide accurate depictions of schools. Whether a school is “better” or not is totally a subjective and personal opinion. I encourage you to pick what is best for you and where you feel most comfortable, rather than schools that win arbitrary ranking contests.

actually , i think the reason it’s got such a high acceptance rate is because of its self-selective pool of applicants. But then again, at least one’s probability of acceptance would still be much higher i.e 0.5, compared to other co-ed LACs

I got a likely letter too! :)
