Okay my GPA was not great at all, it was like a 3.75 weighted, but I’m in a very rigorous school (top 20 in US for math/sciences), and my SAT (2250), ACT (34), and SAT II (760 for Math 2) definitely made up for it.
if YOU can get great grades and great test scores, it will be a great shot for you.

NYU likes to see you take Honors/AP classes and excel in them, just like any other good university would. I think they were a bit lenient on Senior year grades, because I only took 2 AP’s and my grades were meh but I still got accepted!

It also all depends on which school in NYU you will apply to. Stern is definitely the hardest of all to get into, and also the most heartbreaking for applicants. The other schools after that trail behind in terms of acceptance rates.

Essays are also VERY important. Essays should be stellar and creative. Mine had to deal something along the lines of my independence and ‘adventurous’ quality, because NYU really looks for leaders and qualified people who show they can be independent especially in a city like NY. Extra-curricular activities like internships can help because they show you are passionate and a go-getter. etc etc

There are more stuff but I ran out of time so good luck next year or next next year or whenever you apply!
